NCCI Business Excellence Awards 2026: Celebrating our local business community
On 5 September 2026, the Newman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI) hosted the Business Excellence Awards. This year theme Rare Minerals: Hidden Treasures of the Pilbara, brought together the local businesses, individuals and organisations that make Newman and the East Pilbara what it is.
The Business Excellence Awards exist to recognise the businesses and people who show up, year after year, to build something in one of the most demanding operating environments in the country. Running a business in the Pilbara means navigating distance, workforce shortages, extreme conditions and a cost of doing business that most of the country never has to think about. Every business recognised this year has done that, and done it with the kind of resilience that doesn't always make headlines but is the backbone of our region's economy.
